Not long ago I held an event entertaining several potential clients, and unfortunately the caterer I originally hired backed out at the last minute. I turned to Rick, and not only was he able to meet all of my demands expeditiously, he went above and beyond all of my expectations. The food was wonderful, especially the hickory smoked pulled pork. His loaded baked potato salad was a hit, and the service was fantastic from start to finish. His attention to all the small details was impeccable, ensuring all the conveniences that made my guests enjoyed themselves.
All of this was delivered at a very reasonable price. This was honestly the best catering experience I have ever had.

Back Porch Smoked BBQ IS the real deal!  It is the old fashioned, slow hickory smoked BBQ made Memphis style and could very well be some of the best I have had in the Nashville  and surrounding area!  My wife absolutely loves the pulled Wood Fired Chicken as it a very unique product, healthy but rich with flavor, amazingly moist, juicy and extremely tender.  It is not too “smoky” which speaks to Rick’s  Culinary ability to bring out the best in food!  Rick is the kind of guy who will deliver exactly what he promises and I am very comfortable in recommending his food and services to anyone.   My wife and business partner, Chris, even plugged BPS BBQ to be the ONLY food vendor at the Spring Hill Chamber of Commerce Business Expo in July 2010 and was able to accomplish that request.  That is how much we believe in Rick’s food, professionalism and service!  If you have not tried Back Porch Smoked BBQ yet you are missing out on some GREAT Food!

Rick is the consummate professional and serves incredible food. His loaded potato salad is the best potato salad I have EVER eaten! Melissa and I have used his catering services several times most recently for our daughter’s birthday party. My wife used to be a fan of a well known competitor but she made mention “Rick has perfected his BBQ, Wood Fired Chicken and all sides for that matter”! If you have not tried his food yet you are missing out on a treat as he may be one of the best kept Catering secrets in Nashville . However, I am confident the secret won’t be so hush hush for long.

Back Porch BBQ and Specifically Rick’s Catering The Riverwalk’s Memorial Day Pool Party was a complete success!  I received a tremendous amount of praise on the quality of the food. It was literally the best we’ve ever had. Not only was the food very tasty, but the presentation was top notch. I can’t begin to thank you for all your hard work. At only $8 per person for over 50 pounds of meat and 24 gallons of sides need less to say it was worth the expense!  I still want to get out of you how you make your Loaded Potato Salad!

We definately want you back for our July 4th pool party and please book us for our August 21 Luau Pool Party!

From past experience when working with food vendors we typically have extra napkins, cups, plastic ware, etc on hand as there always seems to be something forgotten but you provided everything just as we were told you would and we were actually shocked nothing was forgotten!
